Seth grew up seeing his grandfather & father building homes in Middle Tennessee and was able to see the positive impact they had on the community through home building. Following in that tradition, Seth went on to major in Construction Management at MTSU and then earned an MBA in Finance from Lipscomb University. After a successful career building and working in management for some of the largest national builders in Nashville, he has started his own homebuilding company. Howell Building Group is a dream many years in the making, and he is excited to share his talents and experience to build quality homes where you can create new memories with your family. He is married to Emily with their 4 kids: Lucy, Cason, Beckett, and Banks.

Head of Design

Emily loves working alongside her husband to not only raise their 4 kids, but also build homes for our clients. Emily oversees the design side of Howell Building Group. She curates selections for our design center, chooses all of the options for our spec homes, and guides our customers through their design selections when building their dream home. She is a wonderful asset for all the design decisions, big and small, required for building a home. So, we encourage you to take advantage of that skillset. Emily and Seth partner to draw all of our in-house floorplans, and she loves helping clients develop floorplans that meet their needs. She also partners with Copeland in creating marketing materials for HBG. Before helping Seth start Howell Building Group, Emily was a 6th grade teacher in Metro Nashville Public Schools. 

Assistant Project Manager, Marketing Specialist

Copeland is a Columbia native who completed an internship with HBG while still in college at Lipscomb University. He joined HBG as an assistant project manager and marketing specialist after graduating from Lipscomb where he earned a dual BBA degree in Corporate Marketing and Management. Copeland’s responsibilities include managing projects on site and organizing all marketing materials including HBG’s website and socials.
